Hello! How are you?!

Popping in to say “hello” and recap our weekend …. I’ll have a much larger essay later this week. Life has been very busy around these parts. Work is taking up a lot of my bandwidth (I’m an assistant for 4 hospital executives) lately as we have a new boss in town. While I’d much rather be busy, busy than bored with nothing to do — this past week was a doozy! I’m sure it will all smooth out over the next few weeks, today already seems much more manageable!

This past weekend was my husband’s birthday:) We always try to do some type of outing on his birthday and this year he really wanted to see the US Navy Blue Angels in Ocean City, MD. We boarded the dog in the kennel, woke up early with a plan and headed out Sunday morning under raindrops and gray conditions. The weather forecast called for cloudy skies up north and as we all know, that’s natures soft-box and really ideal conditions for photography! We were excited!

However, the excitement dissipated as the hours dragged on and the ceiling for flight visibility refused to lift. The show was supposed to start at 11:30am and by 2:45pm we called it and left. While we were disappointed in not seeing them fly, we enjoyed a day together and promised ourselves that we would make a trip to OC sometime next spring!

In the end, we had a wonderful day and M had a wonderful birthday! We stopped at our favorite restaurant on the Eastern Shore, The Island House and I had an amazing crabcake sandwich! Winning all day long in my book;)

I shot all of these images on the Canon SD10000 and also brought my Mamiyaflex and Canon AE-1. I’ll share those images in the next few weeks.
